YouTwittFace

Looking for a great domain name for some instant traffic?  Look no further than some of the late night shows.  TV shows now a-days are always saying great domain names on the air.  Most of the time the company has pre-recorded a show and thus already registered the domain name, but sometimes you luck out.

Take Wed. night for example.  On Conan O’Brien’s late night show – his 3rd show – he mentions www.YouTwitFace.com (or www.YouTwittFace.com) depending upon how you spell it.  Since Twitter has 2 T’s in its name, I would think it should be spelled YouTwittFace.com.  Doing a quick Internic search, I found that that YouTwitFace.com was registered on March 30, 2009 (most likely after they came up with the bit where Conan and Andy Richter are doing the In The Year 3000 bit and Conan says the big 3 companies of YouTube, Twitter and Facebook will be combined to form YouTwittFace.com).  Further search lead to realization that YouTwittFace.com (with 2 T’s) was still available.

Why didn’t you register the domain name if it is so great?

Good question.  I had actually already filled out the form in www.GoDaddy.com
and was ready to press register when I decided to let my loyal readers have a shot at it. Since Conan is still in his first couple of days on the Tonight Show, he is still getting good press coverage and thus this domain should get mentioned in some of the news outlets.  Most likely it will get mentioned in the fan sites since the In the Year 2000 bit is quite popular.  So there you have it fellow marketers, I am handing you a gem.

Head on out and register that bad boy. World’s Largest Registrar – GoDaddy.com

The June 3rd show wasn’t available yet when I wrote this post, but as of this writing (like 11:30 pm Central Time) the YouTwittFace.com domain was available.  Here is a YouTube of Conan’s first show though.

You really don’t have any excuse for not having online opportunities.  I literally had the domain in my cart and just decided to offer it to my readers. :)

I tried to register youtwittface at 11:40 when it was still available. I inputted my CC in and everything. Soon after I got an email from Go Daddy that it became unavailable. Man Go Daddy screwed me.

Bummer! I was hoping one of my readers would have been able to get that one. I just checked Internic and it does have the registration of YouTwittFace.com as being registered now. It shows that it was registered on June 4 though, so I am not sure what time zone their program uses. It could also be that Internic doesn’t update immediately. YouTwittFace.com was registered through FastDomain. Not sure why that would be faster than Go Daddy. YouFaceTwitt isn’t a bad one though. Let me know what type of traffic you get off that, I tried domaining a couple years ago but wasn’t committed to it but I would love to get back into it some day.
